Welsh Semiconductor Firm Purchased By Chinese Organization

A Newport production line which produces computer chips has been purchased by a Chinese organization.

Newport Wafer Fab is a hardware firm which produces semiconductors and utilizes 450 individuals at its site in Tredegar Park.

It has been purchased by Nexperia – which as of now has a site in Manchester.

Dr Drew Nelson, Newport Wafer Fab’s active administrator, said the arrangement was a “” of the business in south Grains.
